Request Account Deletion

If you would like to delete your Instaroom account and have your personal data removed, you can submit a request through one of the channels below. We are committed to respecting your privacy and will process your request in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

How to Request Account Deletion

To request the deletion of your account, please contact our support team through one of the following channels:

  • WhatsApp: Reach out to our support team directly through WhatsApp. You can start a conversation by tapping the support button within the Instaroom app, or by messaging us at +20 104 444 0572.
  • Email: Send an email to contact@instaroom-eg.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and include the phone number or email associated with your account.

What Happens When Your Account Is Deleted

Once your account deletion request is processed, the following personal information will be permanently deleted:

  • Your name and profile information
  • Phone number
  • Date of birth and gender
  • University information
  • Profile photo
  • Account credentials

Data We Retain

In accordance with our legal and regulatory obligations, we retain certain transaction records even after your account is deleted. Specifically:

  • Transaction records (such as payments, bookings, and related financial data) are kept for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution purposes.
  • These records are disassociated from your personal identity— they are no longer linked to your name, phone number, or other personally identifiable information.

This practice is in line with our Privacy Policy, which describes our data retention obligations in more detail.

Processing Time

We aim to process all account deletion requests within 30 days of receiving your request. You will receive confirmation once your account and personal data have been deleted.
